Awesomely true! All computer texts really seem ephemeral compared to a sturdy, hand-written text---a text that must be burned to be destroyed!
Truly, the only way to achieve the same effect is to bring down the whole of modern technology. Sadly, that's very hard to do and would piss off a good lot of people. "A good lot" being everyone, including yourself.
I could just throw my computer out the window, but that would just be silly.
